What does hypnosis feel like?

There is no one universal single feeling of being hypnotized. Everyone experiences it in their own way. While in hypnosis you may feel a heaviness in your body. Or, you may feel a light airy sensation, or you may feel yourself sitting in a chair. Whatever you feel at the moment is fine.

Will you make me do something with which I am not comfortable?

Contrary to how hypnosis is sometimes portrayed in movies or on television, you don't lose control over your behavior while under hypnosis. Also, you generally remain aware of and remember what happens during hypnosis. You are always in control.

What is the benefit of hypnosis?

The hypnotic state allows a person to be more open to discussion and suggestion. It can improve the success of other treatments for many conditions, such as anxiety, phobias, weight loss, PTSD, and pain control and more.

How many sessions are needed?

The duration of therapy will be based on the reason for which you are seeking hypnosis. Generally, there will be 4-6 sessions.
